Lavango Oy and Finnish water industry players have established Water Cluster Finland. The aim of the water industry cluster is to gather Finnish water know-how and co-operate to create a more comprehensive product offering that is also competitive in the international market. As its first export operation, Water Cluster Finland participated in the tender for the European Union’s Innosup project together with 6 other EU countries.

- Finnish research center VTT is planning a GAIAXPace –project is Co-Innovation project in collaboration with University of Oulu and Water Cluster Finland.
- Six companies of the cluster has so far expressed their interest to participate the project.
- The project will adapt the water data into the GAIA-X framework.
